The first animal performance in season 9.
During the ninth season of Britain Got Talent in 2015, Judges Simon Cowell and the gang were greeted by Marc Metral, a resident in Paris. When Metral introduced himself to the judges, he told them he’s going to invite a special guest, and that special guest turned out to be his dog, Miss Wendy.
People exclaimed after seeing the adorable Maltese waltz onto the stage. Metral carried her and placed him on the pedestal. However, the people still didn’t know what Metral and Wendy are about to show them. It was the first animal act in season 9, so the judges didn’t know what to expect at that time.
People didn’t believe him until the act began.
However, when Metral asked Wendy to at least say something, the arena was filled with surprised faces when they saw her respond. Even the judges were caught off guard after seeing the animal “talk.”
The unbelievable comedy duo made the arena roar out in laughter.
After filling the whole arena with bewilderment, Metral continued to perform his comedy act with his dog Wendy. This Maltese might appear adorable and pure to you, but she sure does have a sharp tone when speaking to his owner.
At the near end of their performance, Metral asked Wendy to sing Morris Albert’s “Feelings” with him, which Wendy tried to refuse. Wendy was only able to sing some parts of it right as the rest was already her acting rebelliously to her owner. However, at the end of the performance, you can see Metral hugging his beloved dog tight before letting her exit the stage.
The talking dog that made television history.
The judges were really impressed by their performance that saying “yes” to him was as easy as ABC. Metral’s wife told him that he’s crazy for joining Britain Got Talent with a ridiculous “talking” dog act.
However, after their act finished, they received tons of compliments and amazement from their viewers. Metral must have realized that he was right to go through it.
How did they pull off such an act?
Magic, of course! Well, alright, maybe it wasn’t quite magic. As you watch the video, it becomes clear how Metral and Miss Wendy pulled off this act.
Still, even once you know how Metral did it, it’s very impressive.
The two were given the chance to reappear on the show as semi-finalists, however, their performance was unfortunately not enough to overwhelm their opponents. Despite that, Metral and Wendy already made history, and it is something that the viewers won’t be able to forget for a long time.
